- Meet a remarkable 5th-grade teacher from Washington Elementary School who recently authored a captivating children’s book titled “Love What I Do.” With a heartfelt message, she inspires her students to pursue their passions and interests, emphasizing that one’s chosen path need not necessarily involve a college education. Regardless of their background, she instills the belief that they can triumph over any challenges and surmount obstacles with determination. Her book serves as a reminder that with unwavering determination, one can achieve anything they set their mind to!

- Introducing Brittany, the Vice President of the Pass It On Outdoor Mentors Program! Through her non-profit organization, she passionately strives to provide children with invaluable opportunities to connect with the wonders of the great outdoors. Whether it’s fishing, camping, hiking, bird watching, hunting, or any other traditional outdoor activity, Brittany is committed to creating safe environments where children can learn and explore. With dedicated mentors who generously share their time, she ensures that young individuals gain firsthand knowledge and experiences in these enriching pursuits. Brittany’s unwavering dedication empowers children to develop a lifelong appreciation for nature and its countless wonders.

- A former news anchor, Susan Peters is a strong advocate for adoption and has built her non-profit organization (Susan’s Kids) into a powerful platform to help Kansas foster children find forever homes. On and off the television, she has advocated for foster children for over 25 years. Through impactful television messages and extensive outreach via social media, she has shone a light on the stories of hundreds of children, amplifying their chances of finding a forever family. We commend Susan for her exceptional efforts and unwavering mission to make a profound difference in the lives of children through the power of adoption.
