From giving back to our local teachers to helping animals find a loving home, you can count on us to support your favorite organization.
Our generous efforts stem from our president, Brandon Steven, who strives to motivate those around him. We come to work every day hoping to make a positive impact on our employees, customers, and community partners.

You can count on our Subaru of Wichita team to be at Woofstock every year (and years to come)! As far back as we can remember we have helped sponsored Kansas Humane Society’s largest annual fundraiser. We have a booth set up handing out free Subaru swag, raffling off your favorite items for your pets, and having a Subaru on-site. If you’re a Midwest native, then you’re not a stranger to this fun animal festival.
We’ve been giving back to our local educators at Eddy’s Toyota since 2019. Every year we find ways to improve to better help USD 259 staff and other school districts. We proudly purchase school supplies and ask for donations around the community to host one huge school supply drive in our service bay yearly. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for all the hard work teachers do in the classroom.
Every year we host a Toy Run at Eddy’s CDJR with the Wichita Area Jeeples! Jeep owners are invited for a ride along starting at Jimmy’s Diner and ending at our dealership. We ask attendants to drop off any toys or food items to benefit Toys for Tots! When the jeep owners arrive in their usually decorated ride, we provide free lunch, refreshments, and an opportunity to win awesome prizes in our multiple raffles. When you see a line of Jeeps heading west around Christmas time, you can count on that being our Toy Run (started in 2020).
In December 2021, we partnered with Susan’s Kids in hosting our first Bag Drive for foster kids in Kansas. We served as a drop-off location at all of our Wichita dealership locations. The outcome? Together with other local businesses, we were able to collect over 1,000 bags for foster youth! Our marketing team was able to pack a trailer full of suitcases that were each stuffed full of duffel bags, backpacks, toiletry bags, and more. We look forward to making this a yearly event!
We take great pride in making Kansas Humane Society’s (KHS) adoption event possible every year before the holidays. Usually held in October, KHS strives to clear out their shelter and find loving homes for their dogs and cats. A partner since 2008, the brand Subaru has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption, and well-being of thousands of animals across the country. It means a lot that we are able to help with this mission on a local level through KHS.
Free candy anyone? Every year we host Trunk or Treat at several of our dealership locations. We invite the Wichita community to bring their family, friends, and little ones for trunk or treating, festive games, and costume contests. Our employees have a great time decorating our showroom and the spooktacular cars are a big hit!
Our generous Sales Manager ran a shoe campaign from 2019 to 2021 at Eddy’s Chevrolet Cadillac. For every vehicle sold, his sales team donated Chuck Taylors to a local charity. He was passionate about doing the right thing and helping those in need. He wasn’t doing this for attention, but simply for helping children that are in need of shoes. Our Sales Manager chose Chuck Taylor shoes because he has worn them throughout his career of selling cars. He and his team have donated hundreds of shoes to the Wichita Children’s Home and most recently, Susan’s Kids.
When blood donors were urgently needed, we stepped in and hosted multiple blood drives at Eddy’s Toyota. We partnered with the American Red Cross and encouraged our community and employees to donate. It’s not every day that we do something that has such a lifesaving impact and we hope to have the opportunity to pay it forward again!
This isn’t the first time that we have helped families in need. During several Christmas seasons, we hosted a Gift Drive for children, teenagers, and parents that were residing at the St. Anthony Family Shelter and Harbor House. We served as a drop-off location at all of our Eddy’s locations in Wichita. It was extremely heartwarming to know we helped make Christmas special for families that weren’t able to buy gifts.
We strive to visit our local Veterans on a regular basis. Our favorite visit took place in 2020 when our Eddy’s Toyota team surprised Veterans with ice cream at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. The Veterans expressed joy as they arrived in the recreation room and saw a plethora of snacks, visitors, Valentine’s Day cards, and multiple flavors of ice cream. There was also a special appearance from the Wichita Thunder team (arranged by Eddy’s Toyota).
Through Subaru’s Share The Love campaign in the summer of 2021, we proudly donated $15,221 to ICT S.O.S. This hard-working non-profit has been connecting human trafficking survivors to community resources for over 10 years and have recently expanded their services. We’re happy to support their mission of fighting sex trafficking and grateful that we were able to donate such a large amount of money. We wish this Wichita-based organization the best in creating real and lasting change right here in our city.
Instead of pinching pennies in December of 2019, our saleswoman, Emilee Reinert gives back to a local classroom with award money Reinert received from winning a sales contest at Subaru of Wichita. “Emilee won a sales contest and instead of using the extra money on herself, she donated the entirety of it to a local classroom. She is a truly amazing person and team member and she is a shining example for all of us. Emilee is exactly what we seek to inspire here at Subaru of Wichita.” Says General Manager, David Carranza.
In 2018 & 2019, we donated Christmas presents to a local family with several children after they suffered a tragedy. Every dealership adopted a kid that they were buying presents for and surprised the family at their home. Our President, Brandon Steven, and our team truly enjoyed going above and beyond for this family and we hope our efforts helped make their day a little brighter.
In 2017 & 2018 our Wichita dealerships (including Super Car Guys) hosted Eddy’s Adopt-A-Pet Day! That meant that no one had to pay a cent to adopt a new furry friend. We covered all the adoption costs on all of the animals at the Kansas Humane Society, Beauties and Beasts, Lifeline Animal Placement & Protection, and K-9 Karma Animal Advocates. It was our mission to help each rescue get every single animal adopted that day.
We were proud to sponsor Atlas, FC – a local youth soccer team in 2018! Our Eddy’s Chevrolet Cadillac store donated the equipment they needed to practice before each match. We enjoyed watching this team grow during their season and even hosted a test drive event to help raise funds for the coaches!
